More courses across the country are seeing increased instances of fairy ring. That might sound fun for fans of Middle Earth but for golf course managers it is a nuisance. The biology and ecology of this disease is the focus of this 60-minute webcast taught by Mike Fidanza, Ph.D. Learn more about the different types and what strategies for control might work best for your facility. Is additional fertilizer or core aeration the way to go? And how does “an ounce of prevention” fit into the picture? Spend an hour and get some actionable take-aways you can use.

Michael Fidanza, Ph.D., is a professor of plant and soil sciences at Penn State University. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Penn State University and his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland. Fidanza’s research focuses on turfgrass ecology, plant disease epidemiology, pesticide application technology, turf disease control and irrigation/water quality.
