Bud White, CPAg, Director of Grounds at the Club at Carlton Woods, discusses air movement and its relationship to disease and healthy turf. He reviews micro-climates, fertilization and using fans as a strategy in specific situations. He details ways to evaluate air movement, measure its adequacy and evaluate how best to improve utilizing natural air flow as the first measure of correction. He also provides useful tools to have for measuring air flow and useful tips for education to members/owners/management for tree thinning.
