Moss and algae can be persistent problems for many superintendents. Both have very unique biological and morphological traits, which can make them difficult to control. In addition, the growth of moss and algae is highly affected by the surrounding environment, so management strategies often require changes to the abiotic growing environment (e.g. irrigation, fertility, drainage). During this 90-minute webcast, Zane Raudenbush, Ph.D., discusses how to properly identify these pests, the cultural practices that contribute to their success and the current control strategies you can use at your golf course.
