Plant growth regulators (PGRs) have been solidified over the last decade as a staple of golf course maintenance. They are used to increase turf quality, increase uniformity, reduce growth, regulate green speed, increase stress tolerance, suppress seedheads, increase density, and control annual bluegrass. As the potential uses and benefits of PGRs grow, the list of products that promote or inhibit turf growth also grows. Aaron Hathaway helps us take a step back and review the research that has — and hasn’t — been conducted with these numerous PGRs during this 90-minute webcast.
