In this webcast, you'll learn all about Azoxystrobin fungicides, including their history, mode of action, and what makes the fungicide class so useful to the golf course maintenance industry. Best use practices of Axozy will be explored, including its strengths and weaknesses, as well as how it can be used as part of a turfgrass disease management program. This presentation will also focus on disease management, overall performance, and clearing up any misperceptions about the fungicide’s role in plant heath.
About the instructors
JR James, Ph.D., is the Syngenta technical manager for turf. He received his doctorate in plant pathology from North Carolina State University. For the past 32 years, James has provided expertise in both crop protection and turf management for Syngenta. During this time, his focus has been on developing new fungicides, herbicides and insecticides.
Neil Young is a global technical manager for Syngenta. He has more than 10 years' experience in golf course maintenance and construction. Prior to joining Syngenta in 2010, he pursued his doctorate in environmental turfgrass stress physiology at the University of Florida. He has a master's degree in soil and water science (where he examined the environmental fate of fertilization in turfgrass systems), as well a bachelor's degree in turfgrass agronomy.
